Organizations around the world understand the value of project management competencies. Project Management (PM) is an essential skill-set for numerous careers and in many contexts of our lives. Introduction to Project Management Principles is an ideal starting point if you need to manage projects at work or at home.

This 2.5-hour workshop will introduce basic project management tools, common PM business language, and include a hands-on Excel exercise to create a project schedule. Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to understand foundational concepts and solutions that support the planning and executing of successful projects, small or large.

What you will learn:

The definition of project management and what a project is

What the five process groups are

The role of project team members

What a project charter and scope statement is

How to create a project plan

How to identify project risks and build quality into the project

How to monitor, track and report on a projects progress

Workshops participants who already hold a designation (CAPM or PMP) will be credited with training hours from PMI Toronto. Book this course to equip yourself with basic tools that are relevant in almost every business and industry.
