Top Canadian: Steve Collins of Thunder Bay, Ont., was the top Canadian in ski jumping at the Olympics with a 25th-place finish. More disappointing was Horst Bulau, who was touted as a strong medal hope. The 20-year-old Ottawa native placed 38th. Winning the event was East German ace Jens Weissflog, while Matti Nykanen of Finland jumped to the silver.
