About the Relocation
As one of the top most visited branches in the system, Bridlewood Branch library will expand from 7,500 sq. ft. to approximately 20,000 sq. ft. The new street-facing location will occupy the front portion of the mall space vacated by Price Chopper.

The current branch location will remain open during construction of the new site.
The renovation of the branch will include:
- A modern and expanded branch with a variety of study, work, and learning spaces for all residents including seniors, teens, newcomers, students, children, families, and entrepreneurs.
- Multipurpose rooms available for library programs, public events, and community room rental.
- Sustainable and versatile spaces with more computers and new digital equipment to support and reflect a wide range of community’s interests and needs.
The project team regularly communicates and reports to all stakeholders at key milestones throughout the project.

Online Community Consultation
On Tuesday, Nov 16, 2021, we held our second community open house and revealed the layout and renderings for the future Toronto Public Library Bridlewood Branch. The meeting was a great opportunity for the community to see how the architects and the Toronto Public Library team incorporated all the feedback we received from various public consultation activities with residents.
