Albert Campbell Branch Renovation

The branch closed at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2019 for a renovation that is expected to last approximately 2 years.

About the Renovation

At the June, 2019 Toronto Public Library Board meeting, the library board approved the closure of the Albert Campbell branch for approximately 24 months for a major renovation. The branch will close at the end of the day on Saturday, September 28, 2019.

There will be no Sunday service after Sunday, August 25, 2019.

The renovation of the branch will:

Service During the Closure

During the closure, the library will provide service in a 1,300 square foot space in the Birchmount Plaza*, next door at 462 Birchmount Rd. Service will include:

*The pop-up space at the Birchmount Plaza is currently closed. We will communicate the opening date here when that information is available.

Museum + Arts Passes

During the closure and until the library space in Birchmount Plaza is open, MAP passes will be available at Cedarbrae*.

*Please note: The passes will be distributed by draw at Cedarbrae - it is not on a first come, first served basis. Please contact staff at Cedarbrae for more information.

Book Club Sets

During the closure, Albert Campbell's Book Club Sets will be available at Kennedy/Eglinton.

Community Outreach

A community librarian will continue to engage with the community by visiting local schools and other community groups/agencies, attending key community events, etc.
