What is the ArtIR program?

TPL’s Artrepreneur in Residence (ArtIR) program supports visual artists who are looking to build knowledge and confidence through exposure to entrepreneurial expertise, with a focus on engaging with and serving the needs of equity-seeking groups and vulnerable populations.

The ArtIR offers support of TPL’s Small Business, Arts and Culture programs and services, and:

One-on-One Consultation Sessions

TPL’s Artrepreneur in Residence offers free one-on-one consultations with library customers. Through virtual sessions, the ArtIR engages with creative entrepreneurs and artists to review arts-based business ideas, artist statements and portfolios, offers feedback and answers questions about arts-based business creation and development. In 2021, the consultations will be virtual.

Submission Details

TPL’s 2021 Artrepreneur in Residence, Paola Gomez, will review your submission and meet virtually with a select number of applicants to review their plans, provide feedback and recommendations, and point out available resources that may be beneficial. Each meeting is a 30 to 45-minute one-on-one virtual session at no cost to the applicant
