Settling in Toronto

Library Settlement Partnerships (LSP) and Toronto Public Library provide services to help you get started in Toronto and Canada. You can connect with a settlement worker over the phone, online or in-person (by appointment only) and they can help you get settled. This is a free service. See locations and hours.

A settlement worker can help you find out how to:
- get free help finding a job
- learn English and attend free classes
- get a driver's licence
- join newcomer programs
- and much more.
Locations and Hours
In the branch locations below, acrylic shields separate customers from the settlement workers. Shields and other furniture (desk, chairs) are cleaned regularly. Contact settlement workers directly at these locations for services or to register for online programs.
