Join Maya-waasige (The Man from the Up Right Light or Good Light), AKA John K.L. Keeshig, who will be telling Indigenous stories and sharing his cultural and traditional knowledge. John's lineage is Ojibwe, Boodawaadomi, Anishnaabe, and drawn from throughout the Great Lakes Region. The Nawash Band, whose traditional territory are the counties Grey, Bruce. His clan is "Myiingan," or Wolf.

About John: John Keeshig has sat on the Circle of Directors for the Peel Aboriginal Network, which operates as a friendship centre for aboriginal people in the Brampton/Mississauga area. He was recently bestowed the District Director's Award for the delivery of a series of Aboriginal Awareness Workshops throughout the South Western Ontario Region.
