Agincourt Library is happy to join American Library Association's Preservation Week.

During Preservation Week, the Association for Library Collections & Technology Services (ALCTS), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), encourages libraries and other institutions to use Preservation Week to connect communities through events, activities, and resources that highlight what we can do, individually and together, to preserve our personal and shared collections.

Memories and treasures should last a lifetime and be passed on to future generations. President Obama once wrote, ?Part of America's genius has always been its ability to absorb newcomers, to forge a national identity out of the disparate lot that arrived on our shores.? The memories and treasures of individuals, families, and communities are essential to our record of this process?they contribute to our understanding of history and its participants just as collections in libraries, museums, and archives do.

Class will be held in the Digital Innovation Hub located on the 1st floor of Agincourt Public Library.

Registration is required for this class. You can order free tickets by clicking the link below. Tickets will become available two weeks prior to the class starting at 9 a.m.
