Solid Waste Management provides innovative waste management services to residents, businesses and visitors within the City of Toronto, creating environmental sustainability, promoting diversion and maintaining a clean city.

This training will cover the 3Rs - Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle - why are they important, how it impacts the environment, and what the community is doing to help increase their usage.

Learn tips on how to reduce the amount of waste as well as information on city services and proper sorting. Information on free or low cost programs, services and resources available around the city will also be provided. There will be a hands-on sorting activity.

Presented by the City of Toronto Solid Waste Management Services 3Rs Ambassador Volunteer Program as part of Toronto Public Library's Our Fragile Planet program series.
