Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this event has been cancelled. While we're working to reschedule as many events as possible, no new dates have currently been determined.

The Ripple Foundation’s Write It Workshops program is a creative writing program focused on improving the writing skills of children and youth through fun, interactive activities. Participants are encouraged to find their voice and increase their confidence in writing.

There are 5 workshops in this series:
-June 6 - Brainstorm Bonanza. The purpose of this workshop is to teach participants how to brainstorm story ideas effectively.
-June 13 - Mixed Bag Mayhem. The purpose of this workshop is to teach participants about the importance of characters and character development in storylines.
-Jun 20 - Plotline Play-By-Play. The purpose of this workshop is to teach participants about the role of plot structure in stories.
-Jun 27 - Details! Details! The purpose of this workshop is to show participants how descriptive details enhance stories and engage readers through elements that stimulate the senses and add interest.
-July 4 - Stay on Track. The purpose of this workshop is to show participants how an effective story has a main idea that readers can follow from the beginning through to its conclusion.

Children are encouraged to attend all 5 workshops, but it is not mandatory.
Intended for children in grades 4-8.
Registration is required. Registration begins April 1st, 2020.
