Vincent Bevins, award-winning journalist and author of The Jakarta Method (one of the Best Books of 2020, NPR, Financial Times, GQ), returns with If We Burn to talk about his investigation into the protest decade (2010-2020) and how the uprisings during that period that aimed to restructure societies around the world often fell short.
From the Arab Spring to student movements in Chile and Hong Kong, Bevins provides a deep history of these movements and their consequences, and asks protesters and major actors what they wish they had done differently, as they seek to learn urgent lessons for the future.
Vincent Bevins talks to Camila Escalante, co-founder of Kawsachun News and Latin American correspondent, about If We Burn - a unique and captivating exploration of this time of upheaval and how the lessons learned can continue to change the world.
