60 mins

Get closer to nature through birding, the enjoyment of observing and listening to these feathery creatures.

Learn how to get started with this popular activity from the comfort of your home or by discovering popular birding locations near you.

Presented by Andrés Jiménez, Urban Program Coordinator at Birds Canada and TPL's 2020 Environmentalist in Residence (EnvIR) as part of the Toronto Bird Celebration and TPL's Our Fragile Planet program series, supported by TD Friends of the Environment (TD FEF).

To help connect Torontonians to the birds that live in or visit our city, a limited number of binoculars will be available for loan as part of a special birding kit pilot project.

***Registration for this will open Thursday, June 10th, 2021, at 10 am and until all the kits are registered.

Participants will be contacted by TPL upon confirmation of reserving a birding kit with more information and instructions for pick up.

For more information about the birding kits, please watch Part 1.

Attendees without a birding kit are still invited to tune in live.

This program will be recorded and available for replay at the same link for a week after the program goes live.
