Financial abuse is the most common form of elder abuse. During COVID-19 scams have multiplied and rates have skyrocketed so it is more important than ever to equip older Canadians with the information and skills to detect and avoid scams today. This session will review trends in scams and empower participants with knowledge to successfully navigate these treacherous waters with expert advice.

This session will be moderated by Laura Tamblyn Watts, CEO of CanAge, and feature guest speaker Chris Allum, Senior Advisor, Investor Engagement and Stakeholder Partnerships at the Ontario Securities Commission.
