Join Uzma Jalaluddin, author of Ayesha at Last and Sonya Lalli, author of The Matchmaker's List, in discussion about the diverse experiences represented in their romantic novels.

Uzma Jalaluddin writes a culture and parenting column for The Toronto Star. Her debut novel, Ayesha at Last was published by HarperCollins in 2018. The book has earned starred reviews from Publishers Weekly, Booklist, Library Journal and Kirkus, was a Globe and Mail Favourite Book of 2018, and named Cosmopolitan UK Book of the Year. It was also longlisted for the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour, the Toronto Book Awards, and was a finalist for the Digital Book World Awards. Uzma Jalaluddin lives near Toronto with her husband and two sons.

Sonya Lalli is a Canadian writer of Indian heritage. She studied law in her hometown of Saskatoon and at Columbia University in New York, and later completed an MA in Creative Writing and Publishing at City, University of London. Sonya has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and loves travel, yoga and cocktail bartending. She lives in Toronto with her husband.
