Cancelled: Parkdale Book Club

6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on recurring dates listed below
90 mins

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this event has been cancelled. While we're working to reschedule as many events as possible, no new dates have currently been determined.

Join Parkdale's new fiction Book Club and read an interesting book every month. The Parkdale book club will meet on the first Thursday of each month to discuss a book from 6:30-8:00 pm. Copies of the books are available for pick up at the branch a month before the meeting.

Our First book will be Ian William's "Reproduction" The winner of the Giller Prize for fiction in 2019.

Those who attend the initial meetings will help establish the direction of the group. Books under consideration are "Eileen" by Ottessa Moshfegh, "Split Tooth" by Tanya Tagaq, "If Beale Street Could Talk" by James Baldwin and "Remains of the Day" by Kazuo Ishiguro.
