The Healthy Eating Series is a free language and culturally specific nutrition program offered to parents/caregivers with children 6 years of age and younger AND are able to attend weekly two hour sessions for six weeks on a regular basis.

This program is facilitated in a group setting by a Public Health Dietitian and a Community Nutrition Educator. Interpreters may be used during some sessions, if required.

Topics covered include:
- Canada's Food Guide and eating well
- introducing solids/making your own baby food
- healthy eating for toddlers and preschoolers
- dealing with feeding challenges
- creating healthy mealtime environments
- developing basic food skills
- preparing healthy meals and snacks
- reading food labels
- budgeting food selections
