Following Attorney-General Lesie H. Black well's pronouncement that lotteries must cease; the Imperial Veterans' section of Guelph's branch 234 of the Canadian Legion will make a stiff protest according to Ald. Len Owens; president of the branch. We have invested hundreds of dollars in advertising and sale of tickets for our 'Trip to Europe' draw; said Mr. Owens. Proceeds were to repay $25;000 borrowed by the organization to build a new club house replacing one gutted by fire last March. [Incomplete]
