Caption:
Described as a fire-trap by the school board, the ancient revamped terrace shown above, which has been used to accomodate extra classrooms of Cobourg Collegiate Institute will be torn down this year. It is to be replaced by a modern addition to the collegiate's main building to house extra classrooms and manual training shops, costing $50,000. The old annex is of such ancient vintage that the floors have heaved, partitions are shaky and in general it is said to be a poor makeshift for extra classrooms.
