Caption:

Mrs. Lillian Piche, an attractive 26-year-old Cree , holds one of her four children after friends helped her erect a teepee (right) on Sir Winston Churchill Square in downtown Edmonton yesterday. She is protesting discrimination in housing. Evicted from an apartment two months ago, Mrs. Piche said she plants to stay on the site until she can find other accommodation or until she is forced to leave.
