Sap's Running at Bruce's Mill When sap stirs in maple trees, can spring be far behind? Brian Crozier drills to tap sap while co-worker Grant Moravek at Bruce's Mill Conservation Area looks on. Self-guided tours of the sugar bush begin Saturday and end April 8. Beginning March 24, the restored flour mill (below) will be open to the public. Events include face painting, wandering musicians, husky dogs, sled rides for children, and maple cookery. The area is on Stouffville Rd., 3 km (2 miles) east of Highway 404. Admission is adults $2, children $1. Call 887-5531.
