Caption:

Going, going, going: Barrie lost an 82-year-old landmark last week when the 33.7-metre (112-foot) chimney of the Barrie Tannery was dynamited into a pile of rubble. The stack at the tannery, the city's oldest industry, which dated back to 1837 and employed as many as 200 people, refused to budge when the first charge of dynamite was set off. It came crashing down after explosives engineer Dale Plant had a second charge laid.
