Notes

Landmarks of Canada states "After his (Cook's) death, when his effects were sold... this tent or canvas house was purchased by Governor Simcoe and by him brought to Niagara. From there it was taken to York and used as a dwelling" Landmarks of Canada also notes: "The tent in the picture flying the British flag is Cook's."
