Summary/Review: "If closing your eyes meant waking up in an entirely different world, would you want to fall asleep? Zax Delatree has the power to travel between worlds while he sleeps, the only problem is he has no control over his destination. For Zax, sleep is the doorway to the unknown. Sometimes he wakes up in technological utopias, and other times in the bombed-out ruins of collapsed civilizations. All he can rely on to survive in these strange, and sometimes hostile worlds are his wits and a small collection of aides he's picked up along the way. They either help him to stay awake when he finds safe havens or fall asleep to escape from danger. Now though, Zax's power has been discovered and there are enemies chasing him. They are just a few worlds behind, and they seem to be after something that Zax cannot spare -- the blood running through his veins."--Provided by publisher.
