Summary/Review: "Sam has a problem--he has to share a room with an older brother who is messy, noisy, and just generally annoying. One night, while watching the news, he hears about the President's plans to build a border wall and comes up with what he thinks is the perfect solution to his problem: he will build a wall across the middle of their room to keep his utterly undesirable brother out! In a series of letters addressed to the President, Sam shares his thoughts on his plans, plans that change over the course of the story as Sam debates the pros and cons of building a wall with his parents and brother, learns about other walls built throughout the ages, and begins to see that sometimes the best solution to a problem is one that involves discussion, understanding and compromise, rather than ultimatums. At one level, a simple, believable tale about two siblings who have to share a room, this charming, and somewhat subversive, story will also encourage conversation with young children about tolerance, learning to live with others, and the importance of recognizing other points of view."--
