The frontispiece to the added t.-p. is re-engraved in reverse from John Newbery's first publication for children, A little pretty pocket-book (1744); the t.-p. vignette is similar to a description of the drawing on the recto of the frontispiece of Tommy Thumb's pretty song book (1744), v. 2, published by Mary Cooper. It seems likely that this book was taken from Newbery's and Cooper's publications. |
