Superheroes have woven their way into the fabric of our culture, forming a sort of mythology for a post-mythical age. This talk explores and articulates the social and cultural roles superheroes now occupy within Western society, as well as the specific contributions of legendary creators such as Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Chris Claremont.
