Andre Dubus III is the author of Dirty Love, The Garden of Last Days, House of Sand and Fog (a finalist for the National Book Award), and Townie, winner of an American Academy of Arts and Letters Award in Literature.

His new novel, the critically-acclaimed Gone So Long, is the story of an ex-convict in his 60s who pays a visit to the daughter he hasn't seen since the night he murdered her mother in 1973.

Hear Dubus III discuss this masterpiece of thrilling tension and heartrending empathy with author Randy Boyagoda.

Please don't print your tickets! We're trying to reduce paper waste for Salon events, so please don't bother printing your ticket. We'll either scan your ticket on your smartphone or quickly find your name on our tablets and check you in.

Arrive early, meet people. The talk starts at 7 pm, but doors open at 6 pm, so come early so you can chat with some of your fellow literature lovers, and make new friends. As with all Salon events, we'll have a full bar with a selection of beers, wine, and liquor, as well as sandwiches and snacks.

A note about tickets: As most Appel Salon events are free, it is our policy to overbook. In case of a full program, your ticket reservation may not guarantee admission. We recommend you arrive early.
