Having a child can be one of the most challenging financial times for a family. Join us as we explore how your financial situation will change and how best to plan for your child.

We'll focus on how your household's income and expenses will change throughout the life of a child. This will include information about maternal/parental leave, employment benefits, and government grants. We'll also discuss the most common expenses and how best to plan for them - including a special emphasis on how to use a Registered Educational Savings Plan (RESP).

Presented by Matthew Siwiec, B.A. (Hons., Economics), financial literacy coach, blogger, and instructor at University of Toronto's School of Continuing Studies as part of Toronto Public Library's Personal Finance programs.

Free program.
