History

Year	Details
1988	Opened 8 November. Stevens Burgess Architects. Housed in a Cityhome (Toronto Community Housing) Complex. Community Room named after local resident/author Marian Engel (1933-85).
1992	Closed for barrier free access improvements on 19 May. Reopened 22 June.
2007	New hours, 8 January. Hours open per week decreased from 41 to 40.
2008	Closed for renovation 3 November - 22 November. Reopened, 25 November. McKinnon Design. Celebrated 20th Anniversary 6 December.
2018	Hours temporarily changed as of 9 July to include open Mondays during Wychwood's closure for renovation expected to last over two years. Hours increased to 48 from 40 per week.

Davenport is on Indigenous land.
