How to Rent a Room
To rent a room or auditorium from the library, please call 416-397-5969 between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday.
Booking
When you call, a staff member will help you find a room and date and ask you some questions to make sure the facilities are appropriate for your use. A tentative booking is then set.
Bookings can be made up to one year in advance.
Completing a Booking
You will then receive a contract that you must return with payment within 10 calendar days of the tentative booking and with a minimum of two weeks before the first booking to confirm the booking.
Payment
Payment for the first booking and any bookings in the current month are due when you return the signed contract. If you have booked for multiple months, payments for those months are due at the beginning of that month.

- The Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) will be added to rental and associated fees.
- After hours security is $25/hour, with a minimum charge of $50.00. Security costs apply to all bookings outside the hours of operation of the respective location.
- $30 set-up and breakdown fee standard for all users at Toronto Reference Library.
- Other equipment available at some locations for an additional charge.
