Online Payment

How online payment works

Toronto Public Library makes it possible to pay your charges any time, from anywhere. All you need is your library card and PIN and a valid Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card.

If you have charges that are preventing you from accessing some of the library's services, paying online will immediately clear your account and allow you to have full access again.

If your account has been sent to the Collection Agency, the full amount owing must be paid in order for the account to be cleared.

If your card has expired, you may be eligible to renew your card online. Check your account or visit any branch to have it renewed.

If you have charges on your card, you can pay online from your account.

A breakdown of the charges you owe will display. There will be a total amount owing and a Pay Now button at the bottom of the page. Click this to continue.

Step 1: Choose what to pay

All charges will be selected by default. If there is something you do not want to pay, uncheck it. Once you have selected the charges you want to pay, click on Next.

Step 2: Enter payment information

Enter your credit card information and click on Pay Now.

Step 3: Print or email your receipt

A payment receipt will display which you can print immediately or choose to have emailed to you to print later.
