Music Scores

This is by far the Performing Arts Centre's most popular collection. Toronto Reference Library holds more than 45,000 printed music scores of which 20,000 are available to take home.

The collection includes:

  • Study scores of orchestral music
  • Full scores and piano-vocal scores of operas and choral works
  • Piano-vocal scores of musicals
  • Art songs, folk songs, popular songs
  • Solo and chamber music for most instruments
  • Ballet and dance scores

The collection covers all periods, from the medieval to the present.


How can you borrow music?

You need a valid Toronto Public Library card to borrow music scores. The library's catalogue lists all circulating music. You can place a hold through the catalogue and have the music sent to any library location for pickup.
