Main Reference Centre of the Toronto Reference Library

The Main Reference Centre, located on the second floor of the Toronto Reference Library, prides itself on having the most extensive interdisciplinary reference collection in the city’s public library system.   • Author Series - free author readings showcasing established and emerging Canadian authors of fiction, poetry and nonfiction.

  • Writer In Residence Program – published writers are available for consultations on manuscripts in progress.

  • Video and DVD stations for individuals and a room for group viewing
  • Ongoing displays to highlight the various subjects in the Main Reference Centre.
  • Proctoring service for students who require monitoring during the writing of an exam.
