Languages Centre

English as a Second Language at the Centre

The ESL Collection consists of both an extensive reference collection and a circulating collection. More than 3,500 books are available for borrowing. In addition, new materials arrive regularly.

The Languages Centre offers a wide ranging collection to anyone learning or practicing English: It includes books and/or audio materials in the following categories:

English Proficiency Tests

Many employers and academic institutions require a passing grade on English tests. The Languages Centre provides practice tests or other materials to help you prepare for:

  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
  • TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication)
  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System of Education Australia)
  • MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery)
