Le@rning CentreLearn how to use our computerized catalogue, the Internet, email or other electronic resources. Come to a free user education session. We also run sessions for groups of students or adults.

Seniors who want to become wired can attend one of our Surfin' Seniors User Education sessions.

To book a session, visit the Gateway Services information desk or call 416-395-5674.

The HUB for Youth

The HUB serves teens from 12 to 19 years of age (from grade 7 to 12) and is also on the main floor of the North York Central Library.

The HUB is a relaxed and friendly space for discovering these collections and services:

  • Fiction - award-winners, new and old classics , Canadian authors, great books for book reports
  • Non-fiction - biographies, general interest and social issues
  • DVDs and CDs - take them home
  • Movies - new releases you can watch in the HUB
  • Magazines - Over 35 titles to choose
  • Comics, Manga and graphic books - from Archie to Ziggy
  • Help - from staff who can suggest a book for pleasure reading or for the essay that's due tomorrow
