The census collection includes:
- Materials dating back to 1851

- 1996 Census available, for the most part, in both print and CD-ROM format

The Nation Series provides national coverage of the demographic, social, cultural, income and labour force characteristics of the Canadian population. The Area Profiles feature demographic statistics on the sub-provincial levels. The Dimensions Series features analytical studies.
