Samantha Nutt, founder of War Child Canada

Dr. Samantha Nutt has worked in some of the world’s most violent places, helping women and children caught in war zones. She was chosen by Time Magazine as one of Canada’s five leading activists, and has been hailed as a "Canadian trailblazer" (Global TV) and an "outstanding Canadian leader" (CBC)

John Mighton, founder of JUMP Math, author, The End of Ignorance

John Mighton is a mathematician, author and playwright. He started JUMP Math, a breakthrough system of learning math that has shown spectacular results in children who were previously thought to have no math ability. He is the author of The Myth of Ability, and his new book, The End of Ignorance, is a "revolutionary call for a new understanding of how people learn."

John Mighton will be interviewed by filmmaker Atom Egoyan.

Mark Starowicz, television visionary, executive producer of Canada: A People’s History


Mark Starowicz
has been the creative force behind many of the shows that have become part of CBC legend:  As It Happens, Sunday Morning, The Journal.  He was the executive producer of the massive undertaking, – and ratings grabber – Canada:  A People’s History, as well as Dawn of the Eye, which told the history of television.  He is currently head of the documentary unit at CBC TV.

Tom Heintzman, green power advocate, president of Bullfrog Power

Tom Heintzman is a lawyer, business executive and environmental activist who has combined all his interests in his company, Bullfrog Power, which provides green, carbon-free electricity to homes in Ontario and Aberta, as well as to a growing number of businesses, including Walmart Canada.

Tom Heintzman will be interviewed by writer/broadcaster Gill Deacon.
