Homework Help for Teens Volunteers
About the Program
Adult volunteer to help teens who drop in to library branches to get help on their homework.
Teens can get more information on getting help with their homework.
What the Volunteer Does
Once you become a volunteer, you get training on tutoring techniques, problem solving and relating to teens. You will then set a regular time and location to be available to help teens who drop in for help with their homework. The program is always in need of Math and Science tutors.
Volunteer Benefits
After six months, overdue library fines are exempt for volunteers. It is also a perfect opportunity to build community service hours and teaching experience for people interested in pursuing that as a career.
