Book Ends and Book Ends South

The Friends of Toronto Public Library have two volunteer-run bookstores, Book Ends and Book Ends South. The bookstores sell donated items and materials that are withdrawn from the Library, most for just 50 cents to $1. All proceeds raised through the bookstores are donated to the Library for programs and services.

Book Ends North York Central Library Concourse Level 5120 Yonge St.	Thursday, Friday & Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Book Ends South Toronto Reference Library 789 Yonge St.	Tuesday 12 noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday 12 noon to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday 12 noon to 5 p.m.

Book Ends South

Book Ends South, a sister store of Book Ends, opened its doors in 2001 and since then has raised almost $500,000 through sales at the bookstore, as well as through special sales throughout the year.  The bookstore sells donated and withdrawn library materials, with most books priced at $1.00.  The revenues support a variety of literacy-based projects run by the library, including English Can Be Fun, Outreach Storytime, and programs at the Toronto Reference Library.

All book sale proceeds go to Toronto Public Library Foundation, in support of library programs, collections and services.
