Adult Literacy Services

The Adult Literacy Services Department is committed to developing and promoting library programs, services and collections that support adult learners and adult literacy practitioners and organizations in Toronto.

Free, one-on-one tutoring for adults who need help with reading, writing and math.

Volunteer to help someone learn to read.


The overall goal of this guide is to create an opportunity for new adult readers to learn the skills they need to access information and, ultimately, to make independent use of the Toronto Public Library.
