Learn from staff who are available to provide basic assistance and instruction. Online tutorials and computer manuals are also available.

Hours of Service

The Digital Design Studio is open during the regular hours of the Toronto Reference Library. Staff assistance is available during the hours indicated below.

Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 9:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Staff assistance: 1-5 p.m.
Wednesday 9:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Staff assistance: 4-8 p.m.
Friday 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Staff assistance: 1-5 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Staff assistance: 1-5 p.m.
Sunday 1:30 - 5 p.m.
Closed Sunday (July - August)

Fees & Fee for Service


Want to do it yourself?

You can use the Digital Design Studio's resources for the following fees. Remember, staff assistance is available for free during specified hours from Monday to Saturday.

Fee for Service

Not enough time or experience to get the images scanned? Staff at the Digital Design Studio can scan and prepare your graphics or text for a fee.

  • Apple G5, 1.6GHz processor with SuperDrive (CD and DVD burners)
  • Four oversize flatbed scanners with transparency adapters
  • Film scanner with slide feeder
  • Black and white laser printer
  • Colour laser printer for glossy or oversize printouts

  • Adobe Acrobat 4 and 6: Converts documents to PDF format
  • Adobe Illustrator 9 and CS: Drawing and illustration
