Albert Campbell Branch Renovation
The branch will open to the public on Monday, July 25 at 9 am. Official ribbon cutting on Thursday, July 28.
About the Renovation
At the June, 2019 Toronto Public Library Board meeting, the library board approved the closure of the Albert Campbell branch for approximately 24 months for a major renovation. The branch closed at the end of the day on Saturday, September 28, 2019.
The renovation of the branch will:
- Revitalize all public service areas, including programming space
- Create zoned areas for adults, teens and children
- Incorporate customer service improvements and efficient staff spaces
- Increase space for quiet study and collaborative use
Service Disruption During the Closure
The temporary library service location at 462 Birchmount Road (at the Birchmount Plaza) will close on Friday, July 15 at 6 pm. There will be no library service until the Albert Campbell Branch opens on Monday, July 25.
Holds for pick up will be transferred to Eglinton Square Branch. Museum and Arts Passes are being redistributed to Cedarbrae Branch.
Library materials may be returned at the Albert Campbell Branch book drop at 496 Birchmount Road.
We are looking forward to welcoming back everybody to the newly renovated branch!
