Bring the family and celebrate Asian Heritage Month by watching the puppet show Oniroku, based on the folktale and creating an origami paper crane to take home. Younger children may need assistance with the origami.
A program of songs, stories, rhymes and fingerplays for toddlers. Ages 18 months to 3 years. Limited to first 15 children.
Children (Grades 1-6 as of Sept. 2011) requiring help with reading and writing skills receive individualized help for one hour per week. Free program. Registration required.
Stories, songs, rhymes and activities for children age 5 and under with their parents or caregivers. Call or drop in to the library to register.
