Shane Peacock and the Boy Sherlock
Shane will talk about his career as a writer, discussing the weird and wonderful things he's written, including sumo wrestling, high-wire walking, and the adventures of The Boy Sherlock Holmes. He will explain how he created and "became" the Boy Sherlock on the streets of Victorian London, and how to make mystery stories truly compelling. He'll read a dramatic few pages from Eye of the Crow, ... and may show a few kids how to walk tight wires. Age range 7-12 years.

Werner Zimmermann - 2009 Summer Reading Club illustrator
Werner Zimmermann's dynamic presentations are for all ages and are a mix of show and tell, and interactive reading. With original works from his studio, from manuscript to finished book, and much of the art work between, Werner brings the children into the creative process of both writing and illustrating a book. Through refection upon the funny anecdotes about silly and serious events that can surround the making of a book, audiences experience the creative process come alive.
