Shakespeare in Action - Shakespeare for Kids

A free six-week program for ages 7-12 to explore the world of magic, wizards, potions, ghosts, swords and witches in some of the greatest stories ever told. Young participants learn to act, sing, improvise, build puppets, design sets and create costumes for their very own production of a Shakespearean play:

A Midsummer Night’s Dream,
Hamlet,
The Tempest,
Macbeth,
Twelfth Night,
The Comedy of Errors and
Romeo and Juliet

Sessions offered (all classes are on Saturdays):

November 7 - December 12, 2009
February 6 - March 13, 2010
April 3 - May 8, 2010

Featuring:

Coaching & instruction by professional actors from Shakespeare in Action theatre company

  • Learn and play theatre games
  • Develop play-reading skills
  • Create and act in scenes

Bonus: Take home materials included.
