Ready for Reading Storytimes:

Ready for Reading Storytimes for children, parents and caregivers
encourage a lifelong love of reading, build reading readiness in
children, and show parents and caregivers how to help their child
get ready for reading. Caregivers attend with their children. All programs are free. Some library branches have limited space and
require pre-registration.

Baby Time
(Birth - 18 months)
Bouncing and tickling rhymes, songs and stories for babies with parents and caregivers.

Toddler Time
(19 months - 3 years)
Stories, songs and rhymes for children with parents and caregivers.

Preschool Time
(3-5 years)
Favourite stories, finger plays, songs and verse for children with parents and caregivers.

Family Time
(5 and under)
Stories, songs, rhymes and crafts for children with parents and caregivers

Pyjama Time
(5 and under)
Bedtime stories, crafts and songs for children with parents and caregivers.

Summer Leading to Reading

(Grades 2-6, as of September 2008)
An informal reading practice program for children who can communicate in English. One hour per week. Free program. Space is limited.

Class, Day Care, Group Visits to the Library

Customized visits for students and groups of all ages are
welcome. Teachers, day care supervisors and youth leaders call
your local library for an orientation tour or a program.
