Year-Round Settlement Services
Settlement workers are stationed at various Toronto Public
Library locations to provide in person, one-on-one assistance
to help newcomer families with settlement related issues.
Information and referral consultations are offered in areas
like job searches, English classes, health issues, legal advice,
childcare and school information, banking and housing issues as
well as citizenship and immigration.
Offered in many languages, this program is available year-round,
with various schedules in different library branches.
Funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, the service is
a co-operative effort of immigrant settlement agencies and the
Library.

Want to earn community service time, meet other teens and contribute to library's services and programs? Join a YAG and discuss books, websites, movies, games, music and more. Here's your chance to help library staff develop the library service of the future. You can create displays, special events, write book reviews and design newsletters.
