Sandra Shamas "Wit"erary reading at the
Library

On Friday, April 25 at 6 p.m., the Performing Arts Lecture Series concludes
with giggles and gales of laughter emerging from the open doors of the
Toronto Reference Library, 789 Yonge Street, as comedienne Sandra Shamas
performs and enlightens while reading from her new book Wit’s
End.
Shamas is a brilliant comedic storyteller who pokes fun at her own (and
our own) foibles in an earthy, engaging, honest and deadly funny way,
never losing sight of the fundamental importance of loyalty, affection,
and love. She has played to sold-out houses across Canada with her hilarious
one-woman shows, including breaking box-office records at the 1000-seat
Winter Garden Theatre in Toronto. Her most recent publication is
Wit's End. The program, which was originally scheduled for earlier
this month, had to be rescheduled due to ice storms closing roads near
the Shamas farm.
The Performing Arts Lecture Series is sponsored by Starbucks Coffee Canada
in cooperation with the library and in celebration of the performing arts
in Canada.
All events are free. For complete program information call Answerline
