TOEFL and Other Tests, Materials and Classes

There's a lot at the library to help you prepare for your Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and other English tests. You'll discover:

  • Materials on TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), fully catalogued and accessible through our public library catalogue. Materials help learners develop the necessary skills to achieve an acceptable score on the TOEFL test. These items may be individual books, kits (book and cassette), CD-ROM, or videos.
  • Materials on TSE (Test of Spoken English) assist learners in improving their conversational skills. The TSE is required for entry into some academic institutions, or for licensure for certification in a professional or occupational field. You'll find audiotapes on conversation and pronunciation especially helpful for TSE study.

  • Materials on TWE (Test of Writing English) prepare you to write well-developed essays on a general topic. You'll find grammar and vocabulary materials useful for this purpose.
  • Materials on TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication.) The TOEIC test can help the learner's career. Include your TOEIC score on your resume to prove your ability to work in English.
