The Toronto Reference Library

The Toronto Reference Library has resources for the study of Canadian local history in the form of local and church histories, directories, maps, pictures, newspapers, clipping files, and archival material. The Toronto area is covered in the most depth; however Toronto material has not been separated out, but remains part of more extensive collections. Material of interest to local historians is found primarily in three sections of the library: the Special Collections, Genealogy and Maps Centre; the Newspaper Room; and the Urban Affairs Library.
